If you haven't looked at the add-ons for Firefox, I should com and slap your hand. There are so many awesome add-ons for firefox from controlling your itunes, to jabber clients, to weather updates, to one of my favorites - foxmarks. It's an easy add-on and it works slick. Install, create an account and sync. This allows you to have your bookmarks anywhere you go by installing this same add-on to the other computer and syncing your bookmark file. Our best implementation of using this add-on is having the same bookmarks on every single computer that is set up for workshops. We no longer need to tell everyone "Open up Firefox and type in the URL to get to this page." Now its just "Open Firefox and use this bookmark." The bookmarks for all umpteen computers are not controlled on one computer.
Here are the add-ons that I use and love. Cooliris previews, FoxyTunes, Download Statusbar, Fasterfox, Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer, Media Pirate, PDF Download, SamePlace, Unplug, VideoDownloader, Forecastfox, Firebug, and XMPP4Moz. Some are repeats doing the same thing, but where one doesn't work - another will.
