I have read and found an article enabling Intel Mac owners to install Windows 2003 Server. I have tried the install and it successfully worked, great. Now I keep in mind I performed this venture when bootcamp was brand new and it was only half the size to download as it is now. Version, first of all of them. As I said it worked, but I was expecting something much better with the current, more than twice the size .dmg file, 1.1.2 bootcamp beta. I want to partition my mac drive to have XP, 2003 Server, OS X, and OS X Server. I just want it all don't I? So I can figure three out of the four out, so if anyone knows how to do all 4, please let me know and I will post and write out instructions on doing it. I can't get XP and 2003 Server together on the same Intel drive. If you need to know how to put 2003 Server on your Intel, let me know and I'll throw you some info.

Nobody, I mean nobody like free software more than me. I spend hours looking for free utilites and other solutions to help me in all parts of my life. Here is a listing of a few sites I look at ALL the time.
http://www.titanium.free.fr/pgs/english.html - All Macintosh.
http://www.chimoosoft.com - All Macintosh.
http://www.versiontracker.com - Mac and Windows resources.
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/resources/components.html - Don't know which ones to use, but they're free so install them until something works.
http://www.majorgeeks.com - Use it all the time, mac and windows resources.
http://www.oldversion.com - Like the way things used to be, all Windows?

Chech out this site.
http://www.processlibrary.com
It has a comprehensive listing of all the processes running on your PC - and the ones that shouldn't be. It works great and it's free. Download their program and use it to your hearts desire. Or try my personal favorite that I've used for a long time. Process explorer, it shows what program runs what process, and if you hve a question it will search google for that process for you. Check out a lot of other tools that Windows sysinternals also suggests. I also like Autoruns which works and uses way better than msconfig.

One that I'm eyeing is called Access-based Enumeration found here.

iTunes, Napster, Urge, they say you can only play the music with a certain player in a certain locaion. Here's how to get around it for the price of a CD-R or RW - your choice - the legal way. Burn a disc with the songs you want to play anywhere you go. Delete or rename the original song name. Now import your burned CDs and you now have the exact same songs minus the DRM portion. Easy, huh? Of course you could always use some piece of software that hacks the DRM encrypion but that would be illegal and we don't want anything to do with that!

Use this 30-day evaluation piece of software.

http://keepvid.com can make that happen for you.
The fallback? The movie will be saved in a proprietary format in which you can download their free player. How to crack the movie to save the movie as another format is up to you. If I were to tell you how, it would be against copyright laws or something like that. Wanna get more in depth with using your videos check out this site http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ it will do some really neat stuff.

A few questions first. Don't you love opening your email client and having to wait 5 minutes just to check your messages because some !@#$% decided it would be cool to send you a 10 MB funny video? Why use our server to send large attachments and make it work more than it needs to? Let's just make attachments easier on everyone. Also eliminate waiting time by uploading to the server, then just having it returned to you because it is too large. Try some of these sites.
http://wwww.sendthisfile.com
http://www.filefactory.com
http://www.mediafire.com
http://files-upload.com
http://gigasize.com
http://pando.com
http://xdrive.com
Look at the FAQ's to find out your restrictions and limitations. But, this will eliminate the email waiting game and you will no longer be pegged as having bad email etiquette. Your recipients can download - or not download - whenever they want.

If you haven't looked at the add-ons for Firefox, I should com and slap your hand. There are so many awesome add-ons for firefox from controlling your itunes, to jabber clients, to weather updates, to one of my favorites - foxmarks. It's an easy add-on and it works slick. Install, create an account and sync. This allows you to have your bookmarks anywhere you go by installing this same add-on to the other computer and syncing your bookmark file. Our best implementation of using this add-on is having the same bookmarks on every single computer that is set up for workshops. We no longer need to tell everyone "Open up Firefox and type in the URL to get to this page." Now its just "Open Firefox and use this bookmark." The bookmarks for all umpteen computers are not controlled on one computer.

Here are the add-ons that I use and love. Cooliris previews, FoxyTunes, Download Statusbar, Fasterfox, Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer, Media Pirate, PDF Download, SamePlace, Unplug, VideoDownloader, Forecastfox, Firebug, and XMPP4Moz. Some are repeats doing the same thing, but where one doesn't work - another will.

Why? Start the Software Update Server within Mac OS X Server and never have to wait for that stupid blue bar. Updates that may have taken 20-30 minutes now take seconds, literally. I've started our software update server with the click of a mouse. Saving bandwidth, time, hassle, and users not doing it because it takes too dang long. I'll let you know some more behind the scenes actions at a later date.

You don't have to purchase a new server, you already have this INCLUDED with your server software. Just make sure you have at least 10-20 GB of EXPENDIBLE space available to store the updates. I don't know how much it actually takes, but I wouldn't enable this feature with only 10 GB available on the boot drive. I say EXPENDIBLE to consider normal growth and expansion, especially if this is where you store users' homes.

I have figured out a way in order to share your iCalendars for everyone within your building, or for everyone in the world to see. Once again I will post my resources, opinions, and steps to make it happen. If you want to look at it yourself in the mean time check this site out.

I am working on a way to run Mac OS 7,8 or 9 applications on an Intel Mac. I have figured it out about half way and just need to install the OS 9 operating system. I am using a product called SheepShaver. It runs an emulator, kind of like a virtual machine, and it look very promising. Like I said, I am still in the "learning" stages of the process and have made a few tweaks and adjustments already using X11 Developer tools. I will post my findings, resources, opinions, and the steps I've used to bring back life to the classic applications. If you want to look at it yourself in the mean time check this site out.
